Program Description

Whether you do it for fun, just to enjoy the pleasure of flight, or because you are starting your training towards a professional career, the Private Pilot Course (PPL) is your first step into the aviation world.

No other course opens as many possibilities for your future than having a PPL ticket: you can progress through a different types of planes and activities that will give you an entire new perspective to the world of aviation.

Besides, you can advance your training adding new class ratings like the Multi-engine rating (ME) or the Instrument Rating (IR) to allow you to fly in advanced planes or even in bad weather.And, at any time, you can transition from your PPL to a Professional career through the CPL Course or Modular ATPL Programme, so it is an investment that may pay up for itself in the future.

Enrollment requirements

An applicant for a PPL(A) shall:

  • Be at least 16 years of age.
  • Have a Class 2 medical certificate.

Program Duration

The duration of the course is 3-4 months, but the typical duration of the course is between 6 to 12 months, depending upon the student’s dedication, and their ability to complete the ground school and flight training simultaneously.

Program structure

Before starting flight lessons, students need to cover 130 hours of classroom Theoretical lessons which includes following subjects:

  • Air law
  • Aircraft general knowledge
  • Flight performance and planning
  • Human performance
  • Meteorology
  • Navigation
  • Operational procedures
  • Principle of flight
  • Communications

Flight training consists of a minimum of 45 flight hours, whereof a maximum of 5 may be taken in our FNPT II flight simulator.
