Georgian Aviation University announces an open contest for the following academic positions:
1. Faculty of Flight Training;
Direction: Air transport management, associate professor (1 vacancy)
2. Faculty of Engineering;
Direction: Aircraft Technical Exploitation – Associate Professor (1 vacancy)
3. Faculty of Business Administration;
Direction: Finance – Professor (1 vacancy) Prerequisite: Affiliate with Georgian Aviation University.
Key Criteria for Academic Positioning:
For the position of professor – academic degree of Doctor or equivalent; At least 6 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work; Scientific papers / publications / publications published in the last 5 years;
Associate Professor – Doctor’s Academic or equivalent scientific degree; At least 3 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work; Scientific papers / publications published in the last 5 years;
At least 3 years of experience in scientific and pedagogical work; Scientific papers / publications published in the last 5 years;
A qualified person with a professional mark may be elected to the position of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor. Person’s qualification can be confirmed by professional experience, special training and / or publications. A person who has the necessary competence to produce the learning outcomes provided by the program is considered to have the appropriate qualifications.

Application for participation in the contest with reference to the relevant academic position (filled in on the spot);
CV / resume;
A copy of the ID card;
Photo (size 3X4);
A copy of the qualification diploma (in case of quality protected abroad, the required documentation on authenticity (must be recognized by the National Center for Quality Development in Education) and also a diploma issued or non-Georgian language issued abroad must be translated into Georgian and notarized);
Certificate of scientific-pedagogical activity;
Cover letter;
List of published scientific papers;
Documents confirming participation in scientific conferences during the last 5 years (if any);
Course / Course Cycles / Syllabi.
The contest have 4 steps:
Step I – Application: 16.03.2020- 20.03.2020
Step II – Consideration of relevant documentation by members of the competition commission: 23.03.2020 – 27.03.2020
Step III – Interview with the contestants: 30.03.2020 – 10.04.2020
Step IV – Announcement of competition results: 13.04.2020 -24.04.2020.
At the request of the Contest Commission, the candidate may be required to make a presentation on one of the issues addressed in the syllabus submitted by him/her.
