Four, a new vocational training programme at the Aviation University of Georgia

According to the decision of the Vocational Educational Institution Authorising Council on 9 September, the Aviation University of Georgia has added four vocational education programmes:

  1. Operational maintenance of jet aircraft (A1)
  2. Airfield operation and construction
  3. Aircraft maintenance (B1.3)
  4. Light aircraft maintenance (B3)

Registration for the programmes will take place from 18 to 22 September.

These programmes are funded by the state.

The vocational programmes will help to overcome the shortage of personnel in the aviation industry.

After graduation from the training programmes, students will be able to work in: airports, technical service companies, aviation companies and small aviation companies.

These vocational and educational programmes will be implemented with the support of USAID.
