Train maintenance specialists relevant to European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) standards. After
implementation of education program aviation specialist shall be competitive on local and international
markets and, within own competence shall assure maintenance of structural elements, equipment, systems
and powerplant of an aircraft, B1.3.
• Complete general education
• B2 level English language certificate or passing relevant exam determined by university
• medical document form №IV -100/A“, health certificate
Duration of education program is two years of full study. According to EC regulation #1321/2014
daily duration of theoretical training must be no more than six hours.
Education program covers modules developing general skills in amount of 6 credits,
profession/sector-oriented modules in amount of 120.5 credits, (from which 40 credits are for practice).
Vocational student should accumulate 126.5 credits.
In the beginning of education program vocational students shall pass general module “Information
Literacy”, then program structure considers passing of no more than three profession-oriented modules
parallelly, meanwhile, practical components are planned along with theoretical modules to ensure
enhancing of theoretical knowledge in practice. Second year considers passing general module
“Entrepreneurship”
Necessity of separation of practical and theoretical modules was arised based on EASA standards
that determines minimum contact hours for B1.3, B1.3, B1.4 and B2 2400 hours and 2000 hours for B1.2,
40-50% of which equals to practice.
Preference shall be given to definitions European regulations in case of differences between
Georgian terms and definitions/regulations determined by COMMISSION REGULATION (EU) No
1178/2011 within Georgian version of current framework.
