At the Georgian Aviation University, instruction is carried out on modern educational campuses located in Tbilisi and Telavi, equipped with the latest material and technical infrastructure. Specialized laboratories that meet European standards provide students with practical experience aligned with industry requirements.
The Faculty of Flight Training conducts theoretical and simulator-based instruction in Tbilisi, while practical flight training is carried out at Telavi Airport. In 2023, the university fully renewed its aircraft fleet. Alongside the existing Aeroprakt A-22LS and Cessna C-152 aircraft, students now have the opportunity to conduct practical training on Tecnam P2008JC, Tecnam P2006T, and Tecnam P-Mentor aircraft, all of which meet EASA standards.
Simulator training is conducted on FNPT II class airplane and helicopter simulators that comply with international standards.
Between 2016 and 2018, within the framework of the MCC grant “Advancement of TVET Programs in Georgian Civil Aviation,” specialized laboratories were upgraded with modern equipment, significantly enhancing the practical component of instruction. In 2024, as part of the USAID grant “Enhancement of VET Programmes in the Georgian Civil Aviation Sector,” a training facility for aircraft maintenance was established, enabling practical training in an environment closely resembling real-world working conditions. The training center is equipped with the latest tools and equipment manufactured in the USA and Europe.
In addition, students have the opportunity to further develop their practical skills by working on the university-owned Rolls-Royce RB211 engine and Boeing 737-200 aircraft.
