Public Lecture at the Georgian Aviation University about Alexander Kartveli

On May 8, a public lecture and book presentation dedicated to Ramaz Bluashvili’s book “The Georgian – A Journey Through Time and Space” was held at Georgian Aviation University.

As part of the event, attendees listened to an engaging talk about the life and achievements of the distinguished Georgian aircraft designer Alexander Kartveli.

Alexander Kartveli is considered one of the most significant figures in the history of world aviation. The name of the Georgian engineer is associated with the creation of several outstanding American military aircraft, including the P-47 Thunderbolt, which became one of the most effective fighter aircraft during World War II. His innovative vision and engineering approaches had a major impact on the development of modern aviation.

The event was attended by university students and members of the administration. The meeting was held in an interactive format — participants asked the author questions, and engaging discussions were held about the history of aviation, the achievements of Georgian science, and the international significance of Alexander Kartveli.

During the discussion, special attention was paid to the fact that through his professionalism and innovative ideas, Kartveli succeeded in presenting Georgian engineering thought on the world stage. His life remains a source of inspiration for future generations of engineers and young people interested in aviation.

We would like to thank Mr. Ramaz Bluashvili for such an interesting, educational, and inspiring meeting!
