Information About Student Health Insurance

Which Services Are Fully Covered?

At Evex clinics, students can receive family doctor services with 100% coverage under the Universal Healthcare State Program. If necessary, a home visit by a family doctor can also be arranged.

With a referral from a doctor, consultations with endocrinologists, ophthalmologists, cardiologists, neurologists, gynecologists, otolaryngologists (ENT specialists), urologists, and surgeons are fully covered.

Student health insurance also fully covers several diagnostic imaging procedures prescribed by a doctor. These include electrocardiography (ECG), transabdominal ultrasound of the digestive system, ultrasound of the genitourinary system and pelvic organs, chest X-rays, and bone X-rays.

A range of laboratory tests is also covered at 100%, including complete blood counts and urinalysis, serum lipid testing, stool tests for occult blood, blood glucose, creatinine, cholesterol, and prothrombin time tests, as well as tests to assess liver and thyroid function.

Preventive vaccinations included in the national immunization schedule are fully covered, as are examinations required to obtain disability status, excluding high-tech diagnostic procedures.

Under What Conditions Is Computed Tomography (CT) Covered?

In the case of computed tomography (CT), the program covers 80% of the cost of the examination. The patient is responsible for paying the remaining 20%.

What Additional Discounts Are Available to Students?

In addition to the services covered by the program, students can benefit from several additional discounts.

A 30% discount is available on services provided by New Dent clinics and can be used at any branch.

Discounts of up to 30% are also available on medical services that are not covered by the state program.

How Can You Register for the Program?

To access the program, simply visit your preferred Evex clinic. You will need to present a valid identity document when registering.

You can also call the Evex hotline at 032 2 55 05 05 to submit a registration request. A clinic representative will then visit you at your preferred address.

Alternatively, you can complete the registration form available on the website and provide your contact details. A representative will then contact you directly.

Afterward, the student must visit the clinic to complete the registration process in person.

If the student is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must be present during registration and sign the relevant documents. The minor’s birth certificate and the parent’s or guardian’s identity document must also be provided.

What Happens If the Required Service Is Not Covered by the State Program?

If the required medical service is not covered by the state program, it may still be possible to apply for additional funding.

To do so, the student should contact their Evex family doctor. Based on the medical certificate known as Form 100, an application for funding the required medical service can be submitted to the relevant government authority, local district administration, or municipal government.

Additional funding may be requested for both scheduled and emergency surgical procedures, as well as other high-tech diagnostic examinations.

What Should You Keep in Mind Before Visiting a Doctor?

A referral from a family doctor is required for consultations with certain specialists and for some diagnostic tests. Therefore, if you have a health concern but are unsure which specialist to consult, it is recommended that you contact your family doctor first.

It is also advisable to check in advance whether the specific service is included among the covered services and what proportion of its cost is covered by the program.
