The bachelor’s program “Aircraft Flight Exploitation (Pilot)” is developed in accordance with the requirements of Annex 1 of the ICAO Chicago Convention, EASA regulations for civil aviation for Flight Crew (Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 of the European Parliament and of the Council, dated 04.07.2018, and Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011, dated 03.11.2011, EASA Part-FCL), and the “Rules for Certification of Aviation Specialists” (Order No. 150 of 30 August 2012 by the Director of the LEPL – Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia). The program is oriented toward the training of qualified pilots.
The primary objectives of the bachelor’s program in this specialization are:
1. To study the processes and systems involved in the flight operation of aircraft;
2. To acquire broad knowledge in the field of aviation, enabling students to develop practical skills in aircraft flight operation;
3. To form sector-specific competencies as defined by the educational program, develop the ability to understand complex phenomena, and acquire objective evaluation skills of processes;
4. To prepare qualified and competitive pilots who meet labor market requirements, who demonstrate a high level of responsibility for flight safety, and who are eligible for positions requiring a bachelor’s qualification in aircraft flight operation.

In accordance with the “Regulations for the Implementation of Higher Education Programs” of the Georgian Aviation University, the bachelor’s educational program “Aircraft Flight Exploitation (Pilot)” has been planned and developed with the
participation of all interested parties. According to these regulations, the planning, development, and improvement of the program takes into account labor market demands, feedback from graduates and employers, results from student and graduate
surveys, academic performance monitoring results, and both local and international experience (as per Chapter 3 of the Regulations for the Implementation of Higher Education Programs).
The content of the program complies with the requirements established by the National Qualifications Framework for the bachelor’s level. The program requires the accumulation of 180 credits. Its content and structure are aligned with the
qualifications to be awarded and ensure the achievement of the intended learning outcomes. The program includes a mapping document that links the learning outcomes to the program goals and individual courses.
Specifically, to fulfill the bachelor’s program requirements, a student must accumulate 180 credits, distributed as follows:
Courses in the main field of study – 168 credits, including: 81 credits are allocated to the Flight Practice course;
Free courses – including:
– Free Mandatory courses – 12 credits.
