Georgian Aviation University and East-West University Held a Joint Training on Academic Freedom

   On July 15, 2026, Georgian Aviation University, in collaboration with East-West University, conducted a training titled “Academic Freedom: Principles, Challenges, and Practice.”
   The training aimed to enhance understanding of academic freedom as a fundamental value in higher education and to strengthen its institutional implementation. The event brought together the academic, invited, and administrative staff of Georgian Aviation University and East-West University.
   The training featured guest speakers representing various higher education institutions, as well as experts in the field of education.
Throughout the meeting, particular attention was paid to international standards and the Georgian context. Participants discussed current challenges and best practices related to institutional governance, research activities, and the teaching and learning process.
   The training concluded with an engaging discussion between the participants and guest speakers. Initiatives of this kind make a significant contribution to enhancing academic standards, reinforcing university values, and strengthening partnerships between higher education institutions.
