On February 27 of the current year, the Dissertation Council of the Georgian Aviation University reviewed the reports presented on the progress of doctoral colloquiums. The Council carefully evaluated the outcomes of each colloquium, considering the academic and research progress achieved. The research activities and presentations delivered by the doctoral students were assessed positively.
During the meeting, particular attention was given to the amendments introduced to the doctoral standard. According to the new requirements, each doctoral student must publish at least one article in a high-ranking international journal and, prior to the pre-defense of the dissertation, must obtain a review report from a foreign reviewer. It is noteworthy that the Georgian Aviation University actively supports the professional and academic development of its doctoral students. The University ensures access to research and scientific resources, provides the opportunity to select a foreign co-supervisor. The majority of doctoral studentsconduct their research within the framework of grants awarded by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia.
